Mission: Our mission is to provide Hope, Opportunity and Choice, with work as the means through which people with disabilities and other barriers to employment can more fully participate in the mainstream of life.
Motivation: You will work directly with our consumers who have a disability and/or are experiencing homelessness. You will assist them with navigating the Internet and other technologies as tools to obtain employment. Your assistance could directly result in an individual acquiring steady employment and rising out of poverty.

Description of Duties: Volunteers will work with job seekers in our computer lab. You will offer assistance when needed with setting up e-mail accounts, attaching resumes and other documents to emails, filling out online applications, navigating employment websites such as monster.com and careerbuilder.com, as well as other job search technology. You will also offer help with resume creation and revision, writing cover letters, and letters of explanation (such as for previous firings or periods of unemployment). Staff will assist in all of these areas as needed.
In addition to the above duties, you will monitor the room to insure equipment usage rules are followed.
Basic Microsoft Word and Internet experience required.
Schedule: Our computer lab is open 8:30 am-4:30 pm Mon.-Fri.
We will work with you to establish your schedule during open hours.
