2010 - Second Place in the Carson J. Spencer Foundation’s Working Minds Contest
With so much focus on toxic workplaces and the stress of the economy on the employee, the Carson J Spencer Foundation decided to do something a little bit different: focus on the workplaces that are getting it right. While many workplaces are suffering under intense pressure resulting in bullying, depression, and dissatisfaction among the ranks, other workplaces have found ways to not only survive this rough spot, but to help their staff thrive. In recognition of this, the Carson J Spencer Foundation hosts the Working Minds Contest to honor organizations that promote healthy workplaces. The Carson J Spencer Foundation (http://www.CarsonJSpencer.org) is a Colorado nonprofit, established in 2005. They envision a world where leaders and communities are committed to sustaining a passion for life. They sustain a passion for life by delivering innovative and effective suicide prevention programs; coaching emerging leaders how to develop sustainable social enterprises that raise money and awareness for suicide prevention; and supporting the education of young entrepreneurs and leaders through scholarships.

Commendations
“The need for a company like Bayaud Enterprises is clear. Bayaud provides an invaluable link between individuals with disabilities and employment. By being that link they are changing lives on a daily basis. They make a difference every day by opening doors for members of America’s disabled community that many of them never knew existed before.”

“… I would like to take this opportunity to honor a group of people who create hope and opportunity for those who are challenged with disabilities. … By giving the disabled a hand up instead of a handout, they help numerous people realize the satisfaction that comes with meaningful employment. I commend their efforts to serve Colorado’s disabled community.”
