Job Placement & Training
Bayaud Enterprises has a unique, cost-effective model for people experiencing barriers to employment due to mental illness, criminal history, homelessness, or physical disabilities. We help approximately four hundred participants achieve gainful employment every year. Our model leverages job opportunities with ongoing support. Bayaud’s job placement rate is 70% and our retention rate is over 60%. We’ve helped people find employment after prison and have a less than 3% recidivism rate.
For Job Seekers Our programs are designed to support all stages of employment.
We provide online job search, resume development, and interview training classes. We also assist in basic human services like obtaining identification cards, driver’s licenses and Social Security cards. Contact Bayaud Enterprises to begin your journey to employment and self sufficiency.
Rapid Placement (Back to Work)
This program is designed to provide the quickest relief for people who are facing or currently experiencing unemployment and homelessness. Bayaud may help with transportation needs, interview clothing, and equipment (i.e. flashlights and work boots) to get our participants working.
Long Term Job Support (Denver’s Road to Work)
Bayaud provides ongoing vocational rehabilitation support for up to one year. Our Employment Specialists visit employers for feedback, provide guidance on navigating workplace culture, and help create a real path towards career advancement.
Job Shadowing (10 hours)
Our participatnts can participate in two, five-hour job shadowing shifts, throughout multiple hotel departments like laundry, housekeeping, reservations, front desk, and food service. This is a great opportunity for participants, staff, and employers to get to know each other.
Wage Subsidies (2 weeks)
We can offer paid trial work for up to two weeks. We will pay the wage of potential candidates so employers incur no financial risk or financial investment. This is a very important service that is subject to funding. Donors may specify your charitable contributions go directly to this service.
Business Advisory Council
We maintain an intensive employer network. Our Business Advisory Council is made up of hospitality, trucking, construction, and other service providers. They are responsible for understanding market demands, as well as writing and carrying out our workforce training programs. They often go on to hire our participants.
This is a great homeless outreach program for businesses. Council members gain a tangible means of community giving. They share direct industry knowledge with our participants and tell our story with the business community. If your business would like to be a part of the Business Advisory Council, please contact us or call Scott Kerr at 303-830-6885.
Removing Technological Barriers
An important piece to sustainable employment is removing technological barriers. This can be as simple as creating an email or gaining access to social media sites. We then educate our participants on different aspects to the online job search process. Our participants will learn how to fill online applications, identify online scams, and search for housing on the Internet.
Bayaud invests in specialized workforce training such as HVAC, IT, asbestos removal, construction. We spend time researching which jobs are in demand and then train individuals to those programs. The average wage for these jobs is $17 an hour.
Make a Donation
Our participants have faced barriers their whole life. They have been excluded from or told they don’t fit into the traditional economy. At Bayaud Enterprises, we believe creating a supportive employment community makes all the difference in the world. Your charitable donations for our programs give hope for homeless people to stay out of emergency rooms, avoid jail, and joblessness. Put Bayaud on your company's local list of charity organizations.
